Difference Between Mind and Intelligence

Question: Difference Between Mind and Intelligence

I am reading the Bhagavad-gita and a lot of places I am coming through phrases like "Fix your mind and intelligence on Lord Krishna." Mind and intelligence sound quite synonymous. What is the difference between mind and intelligence?

Answer: Like the Reins and the Driver

The mind is the pivot point of the active sense organs and the intelligence is that which analyzes. The senses are compared to horses, the mind is like the reins, the intelligence is like the driver, and the passenger is like the self.

Srila Prabhupada explains the difference in this way, "Mind is the instrument for feeling different material experiences, but intelligence is deliberative and can change everything for the better."
